Computerized Mapping and Data Analysis

IEC uses geographic information system (GIS) to analyze and display relevant data to pollution assessments and contingency planning combined with capabilities in the design and performance of marine programs, IEC marine sciences team provides a full capability to solve, analyze, display, and present complex temporal and spatial data sets.

Mapping of coastal areas is combined with chemical and biological data bases to help our consultants and clients to understand environmental impact and recovery. For example, data on shoreline types and biological resources are combined with emergency planning data to help provide defensible and practical contingency plans.

Our scientists are familiar with many GIS system in use today, including ARC.INFO GEO/SQL, SPANS and others. We can readily tailor any of these systems to meet our client’s needs.
